Ray Casey, Procurement Consultant
Ray Casey has served as a Procurement Consultant for The Vandervort Group, LLC since 2004. In this capacity, Ray provides strategic advice regarding state and local procurement opportunities, guidelines and procedures, and offers insight into the operation and goals of agencies through his trusted relationships with key agency personnel.
Ray retired from State service in 2004 after 35 years in the Office of General Services (OGS) and the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC). Ray served as First Deputy Commissioner of OGS, where he acted as the team leader on a project to rewrite the State Procurement Law in 1993-94. After leaving OGS in 1998 Ray became an Assistant Deputy Comptroller for the State, where he oversaw the conversion of the state's payroll system, managed the public debt unit, and directed the effort to implement a data warehouse for OSC.
Ray is a member of the Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home Board of Directors; an Advisory Board Member for the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Development Program; a member of the Board of Education, and current president of the Shenendehowa School District, one of the largest suburban school districts in New York State.
