Wayne Lair, Jr. joined The Vandervort Group, LLC as a Legislative Associate in December, 2009.  Mr. Lair practices in many areas, including economic development, health care, agriculture, environmental conservation, consumer protection and information technology, and works to help develop and coordinate policy and strategy to advance the goals of the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining The Vandervort Group, LLC, Mr. Lair served as Legislative Coordinator for New York StateWatch, an Albany-based legislative tracking service.  It was here as a member of the state’s Legislative Correspondents Association that Mr. Lair was responsible for coordinating reporting efforts by a team of reporters delivering news on the New York State Legislature, and his strong contacts in the legislative, journalistic and private governmental affairs worlds helped to raise the visibility of StateWatch.  Now here with The Vandervort Group, LLC, Mr. Lair works in partnership with our other lobbyists in promoting our clients legislative and regulatory agendas.  Mr. Lair has also worked on a number of local, state, and congressional political campaigns.

Mr. Lair holds a B.A. in History from the University at Albany and an M.A. in Political Science from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University of Albany.
